Eleni Bitsiou is a Mining-Metallurgical Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens with a Master’s degree in Economics from Birkbeck University, London.
She has also attended seminars “More Effective Management” at City University of London and “Creative Accounting” at the London School of Economics.
Her career started in London, at Sigma International S.A. where she was first involved in the field of Logistics, a company specialized in marine spare parts management. She returned in Greece and worked as an Engineer at Dionyssos Marbles S.A.
However, she returned very quickly in the logistics business which seemed much more challenging and innovative. She continued her career at a 3rd Party Logistics company, Komvos S.A. from 1993 to 2001, at the position of Business Development, while simultaneously gained experience from all positions related to the supply chain. From 2001 to 2006, due to the special needs of the market created by Olympic Games of Athens in 2004, she continued her career moving again to the engineering background, as the Commercial Manager of Fulgor Hellenic Cables S.A..
Her career continued at SYNERGY S.A., again a 3PL company where she has been working since 2006, holding the position of Chief Commercial Officer, while she is also the Vice President of the Board of Directors of the company. At the same time, she is Chief Sustainability Officer, having the responsibility of implementing the Strategy for the Sustainable Development of the Company.
She has been a member of EEL since 2013, while she has been elected and participates the Board of Directors of EEL since 2019, initially as a Member and from 2021 in the position of Vice President.
